The New Phytologist Trust is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of plant science. It owns and produces the international journal New Phytologist and is proud to support student researchers by awarding the New Phytologist Poster Prize in Plant Biology.

New Phytologist Editors/Advisors were present at recent ATBC meetings, and the New Phytologist Poster Prize in Plant Biology was awarded as below:

Gabriel Damasco won the 2016 New Phytologist Poster Prize in Plant Biology at the ATBC 2016 meeting in Montpelier for his presentation “The leaf economic spectrum in the context of incipient species divergence”.

Carolyn Delevich won the 2015 New Phytologist Poster Prize in Plant Biology at the Annual Meeting of the ATBC in Honolulu, Hawaii.  She presented the work she conducted as a side project while she was on BCI: “Does microbial-mediated plant-soil feedback regulate congeneric recruitment in the genus Cecropia“.

ATBC is happy to note that the New Phytologist poster prize will be awarded once again in Merida at the ATBC 2017 meeting.  New Phytologist will be looking for a student poster to award their prize to – see you there!
