The Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation (ATBC) is thrilled to announce a triple call for proposals to host our global conferences in 2028, 2029, and 2030.
Each year, ATBC brings together hundreds of scientists, conservation practitioners, students, and policymakers from around the world to share research, build collaborations, and advance tropical biology and conservation. We are scheduling three consecutive annual meetings to provide host institutions with more time to prepare, strengthen partnerships, and showcase tropical biodiversity at a global scale.
We invite proposals from members, institutions, and organizations worldwide and especially encourage proposals from institutions based in the Global South, which will receive priority in this selection cycle. In alignment with ATBC’s tradition of rotating annual meetings across regions to foster global participation and inclusivity, we will give special priority to proposals to host the conference in Latin America in 2028, in the Asia-Pacific region in 2029, and on the African continent in 2030.
We are looking for creative, diverse, and innovative proposals, particularly those that highlight new solutions to pressing conservation challenges.
