Are you a graduate student planning to apply for the ATBC Seed Research Grant or another funding opportunity soon? Would you like to strengthen your grant writing skills and learn practical strategies for developing competitive proposals?

The ATBC Mentoring, Networking, and Education Committee is hosting a Grant Writing Workshop designed to provide practical guidance and key recommendations for preparing strong grant applications.

Participants are expected to attend both sessions, outlined below:

Session 1

March 23, 2026
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (EST)

This session will introduce the fundamentals of grant writing, including how to review requests for proposals, identify appropriate funding opportunities, develop a clear research question, understand basic budgeting principles, and craft a compelling proposal. Participants will receive a short assignment to prepare for the second session.

Session 2

March 27, 2026
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (EST)

In this interactive session, participants will work in small groups to discuss funding opportunities and review draft grant proposals prepared by workshop participants.
